This week’s Re-Edit is cosplayed by Rexy Studio, cosplaying as Nightingales from Skyrim.
The Nightingales are a secret inner circle within the Thieves Guild, based in Nightingale Hall. The most recent incarnation of the faction was made up of three elite thieves: Mercer Frey, Karliah, and Gallus Desidenius. The Nightingales exist to protect the shrines of Nocturnal throughout Skyrim. It is common belief that the Nightingales do not exist, and were simply created as a way to scare Footpads into doing what they are told.
2020 EDIT PROCESS
I started with the basic changes I always do, by adjusting the exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, HSL, and etc. Throughout this project of re-editing my older photos, I do not refer to the original edited the photo so I can see if I would make the same steps or make alternative decisions.
I wanted to make the trees as green as possible, so making sure using the HSL sliders, I make the tree as green as possible.
Using the selection brush in Lightroom, I selected the area of the armour, and then using a technique I use to bring out details, I increased the clarity of the amour to make it stand out more with all that detailing, shame to not make an enthusiast of the armour.
I experimented with the Colour Grading feature in Lightroom and change slightly the look of the photo to make it a bit cooler looking and make the trees greener in colour.
COMPARING THE TWO PHOTOS
Looking at the two photos, I not too sure the feature “Colour Grading” I will use too often as looking at the 2021 edited photo doesn’t look too realistic to the style I am used to.
Overall, I do like the 2021 edited photo for the details, but also I need to work more on colour grading my photos should I go down this style more often.
You can view the two photos individually but also a slider to compare the photos is also available below.
