This week’s Re-Edit is cosplayed by Candyylocks, cosplaying as Bombshell Wonder Woman.
Bombshell Wonder Woman is a version of Wonder Woman from an alternate universe.
A born adventurer and heroic spirit, after learning of the worldwide war that was occurring beyond the shores of Paradise Island, Diana embarked to learn more and lead her Amazonian sisters in support of the United Nations against the Axis Powers.
2020 EDIT PROCESS
I started with the basic changes I always do, by adjusting the exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, HSL, and etc. Throughout this project of re-editing my older photos, I do not refer to the original edited photo so I can see if I would make the same steps or make alternative decisions.
Moving the photo to Photoshop, I wanted to clean the floor area of markings, cigarette butts and any other unsightly markings. Using the Patch Tool and Clone Stamp to remove the markings. Also removed the holes in the wooded platform in the background.
The next step I wanted to work on was the boots, so they looked a better fit so using the Liquify tool to push in all the boot material. Also while working on the boot, I removed the zip clasp as I felt it was a slight distraction.
My last step was to apply the skin smoothening and contouring techniques I do in Photoshop.
COMPARING THE TWO PHOTOS
I’m really happy with how the 2021 edited photo turned out. Like so many other photos re-edited in this series, the photos looks lighter and brighter compared to the 2017 photo.
The colours also look so vibrant in the 2021 edited photo, with the colours of Wonder Woman looking more accurate.
Cleaning of the ground area looks better as there are less distractions to take your eye away from the main focus which should be the cosplayer.
Don’t forget to use the slider below to compare the two photos but also you view them individually above.
