Lady Bow from Paper Mario

Lady Bow is my favorite of all the partners in Paper Mario 64. Her design is very simple as she’s just a green Boo with a fan and bows, but those few elements along with her sassy yet refined demeanor inspired me. I decided to go with an 18th-century rococo-inspired dress with a shorter poofy skirt inspired by lolita fashion. I came across a YouTube tutorial for bow-shaped smocking that I decided to try out for the panel in the front, and it turned out to be very easy and relaxing to do, just time consuming!
Other than the bow smocking, my favorite parts of Lady Bow’s costume are all the cute coral red bows I created to give my dress a pop of color. Mint green and red can be challenging to pair together, but I think I was able to balance those colors cohesively.
