Regardless if you are new to cosplay or have been around the block like I have, you would have seen the works of Jessica Nigri and also Stella Chuu.
According to Wikipedia, Jessica has been cosplaying since 2009 and modelling since 2012, having served as an official spokesmodel for several video games and comic book series, including Lollipop Chainsaw and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. She voices Cinder Fall in RWBY.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a Wikipedia page for Stella Chuu (*yet). But on her website it says, Stella Chuu started cosplaying in 2011, Stella is a self-taught artist and entrepreneur. She dedicates her days to creating cosplay and promoting geek culture. When not travelling around the world to conventions and events, she is live streaming at home.
Both of these ladies have made fantastic cosplays over the years and have had the pleasure to have met both of them and they are really great, fun and nice people to be around and talk to.
But that is not what I am most impressed with them. It’s their social feed and they engage with their followers or use their feed to share other peoples work. For example, Jessica from time to time will post a question about cosplay for her followers to post cosplay photos. These tweets are usually encouraging everyone to get involved.
Stella Chuu and others who do this, just love seeing their feed with other people’s work. Stella is willing to use her platform to spread cosplays other than her own. I have seen others who have done this and it’s great they are using this to promote others.
Also, Stella feed is just full of fun things, such as funny videos, interesting photos, behind the scenes, etc.
It’s great to see, no matter who they are, willing to help and share other peoples work for others to see because we are all in this community to see cosplay of all levels.

This weekâs Cosplays We Like comes from Princess Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog” franchise.
Princess Tiana is a fictional character in Walt Disney Picturesâ 49th animated feature film, The Princess and the Frog (2009). She is depicted as a hardworking waitress who dreams of opening her own restaurant. Tiana is voiced by Anika Noni Rose as an adult and by Elizabeth M. Dampier as a child. The character is loosely based on two princesses: Princess Emma, the heroine of E. D. Bakerâs 2002 novel The Frog Princess, and the princess from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale âThe Frog Prince,â which inspired Bakerâs novel. Tiana is also inspired by famed New Orleans chef Leah Chase.
Tianaâs story revolves around her transformation into a frog after desperately kissing a prince who has been turned into one by an evil witch doctor. Throughout the film, she embarks on an adventure to break the spell and find true love. Tiana has been praised for her personality and values, but her depiction and that of her community have been criticized for lacking emphasis on racial issues.

This weekâs Cosplays We Like comes from Harley Quinn.
Harley Quinn is a fictional character appearing in American comic books produced by DC Comics. She was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm for Batman: The Animated Series as a henchwoman for the supervillain Joker, debuting in its 22nd episode, âJokerâs Favorâ, on September 11, 1992. Harley Quinnâs real name is Harleen Frances Quinzel. She is a former psychologist at Gotham Cityâs Arkham Asylum who was manipulated by and fell in love with the Joker, her patient, eventually becoming his accomplice and lover. Harley Quinn is known for her playful personality and her love for the Joker. She has also been depicted as a supervillain who has left her abusive and codependent relationship with the Joker behind. Harley Quinn has appeared in various media adaptations, including television shows, films, and video games.

Who’s going to MCM London in October time?…
It’s always exciting to know that I can get a pass from the comic con organisers. As some people know, I’ve been applying for press/creator passes for many years now and this event I have been fortunate to be granted a pass.
Regarding uploading my photoshoot schedule, I need to plan out the schedule I want to offer to people who want to shoot with me. I plan to release it on my website on October 5th at 6 pm.
Please Note : You’ll need to visit my website as social media will be slow to share the link.
Hopefully, by then most people will know if they are going to MCM London and what their cosplay lineup is.
As always there are a few rules, please only book with me if you know what cosplay you want to shoot with me. Please pick a time that you can reasonably get to me. Also, I’ll need a way to contact you via any of your social media accounts, such as Instagram or Twitter. If you pick more than one slot, I have the choice to pick which one cosplay I like to shoot. This isn’t a reflection on your cosplay but I want to give everyone a chance to shoot with me at least once over the weekend.
I just want to also say that, all my slots for photoshoots are free of charge. The event organisers have rules which prevent anyone from charging their time at comic con regardless of whether they have a press/creator pass or have general entry, you should not give money in exchange for photos.
