This week re-edited photo comes courtesy of Anna S Cosplay as Rise Kujikawa from the Persona 4 franchise.
Rise Kujikawa is one of the main characters from Persona 4. She is a popular idol who returns to Inaba for a brief hiatus.
We took this photo at Canary Wharf where we saw this tunnel which has been used by so many other photographers in the past. I just love the leading lines and the perspective leading to Anna as Rise Kujikawa.
I started with the basic changes I always do, by adjusting the exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, HSL, and etc. Throughout this project of re-editing my older photos, I do not refer to the original edited the photo so I can see if I would make the same steps or make alternative decisions.
Between the two photos I change slightly how I cropped the photo just to centralise her more in the photo. Another thing I changed from the 2016 photo, was change how I illuminated her face as I didn’t like the tone on how it came it in the original photo.
The next step was to transfer the photo into PhotoShop and add the skin smoothing and contouring to emphasise Anna’s facial features.
The last step was to add the coloured gradient sides to give the photo more life and brighten up the sides so it doesn’t look so dark.
I’ve added a slider to show the difference between the two. Please bear in mind that the crop is different, so they do not lay on top of each other exactly.
