Today is a special day in the FnC Calendar, as it’s my birthday. Last year I celebrated by sharing some of my favourite photos or people I’ve met between one birthday to another. So this year, I am doing it again.
I’ll be writing two posts to celebrate all the photos I’ve taken. They will be covering as many comic con events, locations shoot and anything else I did in the name of Food and Cosplay.
Don’t worry if you don’t see yourself in this list, I like too many of my own photos and couldn’t fill this page up too much awesomeness.
MCM London
Just one of my favourite events on the cosplay calendar for me. It’s the only event where I schedule a time for people to book me to shoot their cosplay with me.
I have met some great people with some great cosplay. Some of the time I have very little knowledge of the cosplay but I am more impressed with the design and construction of the cosplay then knowing what the cosplay is or who is wearing it.

Latex Cosplay
If you are a frequent following of the photos I take at comic con, you’ll find from time to time I find that one cosplayers who is wearing latex. I just love how latex is used in cosplay. Just looks like it fits the superhero physique more.
I’ve been fortunate to have shot with so many people in so many different outfits.

Location shoot with PurpleMuffinz
For many years, I have asked….maybe hounded PurpleMuffinz if we could have a photoshoot together, and we jokingly say that there is an ever-growing list of cosplays/outfits I’d love to take photos in.
Well, we finally got a day to shoot her cosplays and rather just shoot the one outfit, we shot in total three of her outfits to maximise the time I had with her. With the assistance of LP Photography helping out with both watching our belongings and also later in the day, helping we the lights, we got down to make great photos.
New York Comic Con
New York Comic Con will always be one of my favourite events of the year. When I couldn’t go in 2018, I was deeply upset that I wasn’t there to see and enjoy all the cosplayers whom I only see once a year or those who can’t visit the UK.
I wrote an article about my “Love Letter” to NYCC about why I love this event.
2019 edition of NYCC did not disappoint and taking a friend with me, we both really enjoyed the event as well as the wonderful city of New York.

Harley’s..lot’s of Harleys
It wouldn’t be a birthday post, if I didn’t include a Harley or two. To be fair, I haven’t taken many Harley cosplayers over the year. I wanted to photograph a wider variety of cosplays and that meant at times I would walk pass some great Harley cosplayers.
I would only break this rule if I saw something different and wonderful for me to take a photo. I saw some wonderful variation of my favourite Harley character.

Special Mention…
I wanted to mention a special friend whom, I have gotten to know over the last twelve months and that person is Sturmtochter.
We have been such chatty mates over the year and she’s just so great to know. She loves Lady Gaga so much that she’s even cosplayed some of her iconic outfits she worn, like her Kermit jacket, Poker Face blue leotard, Punk Telephone and many more. She also a big fan of Fate franchise which she is trying to get me to watch…she might have succeeded.

I am asking on my birthday that if you can spare a few pennies, if you can donate money to Mind, a mental health charity, which FnC are championing all of 2020 and during this testing times, we can all need a mental health check from time to time.
