Food and Cosplay

The Official Website of Food And Cosplay, where we share Photos and Articles relating to Cosplay and Comic-Con

Sorry guys but I’m stopping…

I don’t know if noticed but over time, the Food And Cosplay socials, there has been less and less cosplay shares from other cosplayers whom I have admired over the years. I think it’s time for me to stop that of the FnC side.

From the beginning when FnC started, I was struggling to create content for my social pages, and so I thought I would share other cosplayers work I’d admire, to help share the what I love about cosplays to others. I expanded this out to others to help me share cosplays what they loved. I would host cosplay theme days on Facebook. Created “Cosplay We Like” on the website based on a character or franchise. But over time I’ve seen my reach for posts like this diminishing over time and I have actually dropped feature like over the years and no one seems to have minded, so over the next few months, I only be posting content I’ve made. I have only dropped features to give myself more time to do other things in life. I will from time to time share other peoples work who either tag me or something I want the cosplay community to see but it won’t be my primary focus.

I don’t know how I really feel about this as I still love cosplay and want to share what I love about it to others but with more and more social media account which do the same and at times better, I just don’t feel like I have the time to keep doing that part of FnC. There are “sharing” pages who seem to do it better, even uploading a copy of their photo to their page, when I have made a clickable link back to the original post.

I’ll continue to make contact for FnC for as long as I can but for now, to give myself more of a social break from things, FnC social pages, will just be a my own content.

*Also, sorry for the click bait title.

The time has come and you can book your slot with me. Please read the instructions carefully. Please pick which day, and time slot and detail me the cosplay you’d like me to shoot. Please only book with me if you know what cosplay you want to shoot with me. If you do not declare your cosplay, I will cancel the appointment Pick a time that you can reasonably get to me. If on the day you are running late, I won’t be able to reschedule and you will forfeit your time slot as I do not want a knock-on effect of running late for my other appointments. If you pick more than one slot, I can choose which cosplay I like to shoot. This isn’t a reflection on your cosplay but I want to give everyone a chance to shoot with me at least once over the weekend.  Last thing, I won’t be accepting any group shoots as they affect my anxiety and can cause stress on me. Please note: I am not accepting any group shoots. I’ll consider a duo shoot. Should there be slots available after the first round, I’ll allow people to book me up for a second slot. If you miss out on a slot, do not worry, I’ll be at the event all three days so if you spot me, do come and stop me and we can get a quick photo together. Good luck and hopefully I’ll see you at Comic-Con. Like this:Like Loading... [...] Read more...

Cosplayer: kuruvata / Photo drewcoremas Toad is a timeless character. Both young and old love them, Toad was such a scene stealer in the almost recent Super Mario Bros Movie, and is one of the best characters to play/interact with in the game. The costume is mostly made out of foam padding and felt fabric. Two materials I had never worked with before. The most challenging part is trying to glue everything down, make it stick, and keep its shape! Almost everyone recognized Toad at New York Comic Con. I could barely get a few feet forward before getting asked for pictures. It was quite challenging and the inside does get hot despite the two fans I had inside. My cosplay origin story started back in 2015 when a close friend invited me to my very first New York Comic Con. I had built a Bane costume out of cardboard and tubing. After seeing all the intricate cosplayers in attendance, I was inspired to also build my own.  This story first appeared Cosplay In America and if you want to share a “Cosplay Stories” to be shared here on this website, full details can be found here.
