I feel like this is the time of the year where I am trying to plan what I want to do with my time, this website and my other branding (aitchkaycee.com) in over the next couple of months, mainly planning a lot of photoshoots with people.
I try when planning to work with people not to work with the same people over and over again. Don’t get me wrong, I do love to work with people I’ve worked in the past but I don’t want to give the impression that I only work with one set of people and everyone else is excluded, that is not how I want to work or want to be seen. I want my profile/portfolio of work to be represented by as many diverse people as possible. I personally know I can do better at taking photos of any background and I will be working better over the coming comic con events.
The events I have planned so far is a studio shoot at Monstrose Studio with some amazing cosplayers who I am excited to work with again and also what outfits they’ll wear. I haven’t seen or worked with sugahfox in ages, way before the “before times” of the pandemic. If all things go well we’ll be bringing you something from the people who design and make from The Haus of Troll, watch this space. Other people joining us are CeleryMoonDesign, Jemzamia, and HarleyChainsaw again, some I haven’t seen since the “before time” and just so happy to see and work with again. Also coming along to the studio day are Kevin Pack, Shill Photography and Charlotte Woolrych Photography.
Someone, with who I am always excited to work again is Purple Muffinz. I am always looking for an excuse to work with her and her latex creation. Just like a magpie, I and drawn to the shiny latex that she both designs and wears at comic con. Last year I had the good fortune to work with her, shooting a mixture of photos for both FnC website as well as my other website, aitchkaycee.com. This year, might more geared towards my aitchkaycee.com photoshoot but as I am writing up this article that is up for discussion.
As comic con events are starting to open up to the public, I’ve been concentrating on planning photoshoots for my website, with plans to shoot at Sanctum Southampton again and also a very secret event I’ve been trying to organise for over 3 years now, fingers crossed it goes ahead this year.
I can’t wait to share with you all the photoshoots I am planning over the next few months.
