What is your favourite food? Well that’s hard… because I love all kind of food!, but Ecuadorian food is my favourite, I love Fritada, hornado and cariuchos.
You met a few members of the Food and Cosplay team at Blizzcon this year (and it was amazing to meet you). What are the differences and/or similarities between cons in the US and conventions in Ecuador?
Yeah!! I was so happy to meet you guys!
Its a HUUGE difference, in Ecuador the “Cons” are just little events, we only had like two big that I consider cons and those were VB2, and EGIC, they were very amazing.
I could see in US that the organizers treat very well to people, and as for the cosplayers they give them their importance and try to help them as much as possible. Also the atmosphere is friendly, you can see other cosplayers saying “wow ! I finally get to meet you, I wasn’t expecting to see your work live” and always encouraging others to keep up with their work. In my country there is a lot of drama between cosplayers and event organizers.
I adore your foamwork, particularly the crosses on your demonhunter! Do you have any tips or tricks for anyone if they want to use foamwork on how to get everything so neat!
Thank you very much!
Prepare to cry!! A lot!! Neh joking, I cried a bit because its hard to cut the foam without making mistakes. Tip: be patient, don’t get frustrated and do everything with enough time, make tons of patterns over and over again, if you do stuff that has many curves try to use an exacto knife, specially if your design has little details in it, and use a metal ruler if your design has more square edges.
You do mostly Blizzard cosplays, why Blizzard?
Why Blizzard? Because I always admired all Blizzard work, it could be the games, illustrations, animations, etc, they always amaze me.
Well I started with anime costumes, but Blizzard Games have a big space in my heart, because I love the history in every game, every character, and generally I pick a character because I feel a strong connection with it. Sometimes those characters have something that match my personality, and i just love them, like Sylvanas, Valla, Vorazun, and tons of other characters, I like the complexity that exists in them (personality and their armour), and most of all in Blizzard games I met some of my dearest friends in the world.
What has been the most tricky technique you have had to master so far?
Technique… well, all kind of round stuff, everyone makes it with heat gun and I did it too, but we found out that it’s better making cuts. Maybe it’s is more work but when everything is put together looks amazing!
What advice would you give to new cosplayers?
To all of you new cosplayers, never give up! NEVEEEER!!! , always think about that you are doing cosplay because you love it, not because you need other people approval, do it with all your heart, no matter your body type, skin colour, just do it!, always make research if you don’t know how to do something, there is plenty of tutorials, books from other cosplayers, or if you want you can ask them, they can give you guidance on where to find some information you need so you can improve every day and update your knowledge.
