This week’s Re-Edit is cosplayed by tattooed_spidey, cosplaying as Spider-Man.
The most iconic storyline to feature Peter abandoning his alter-ego happened in “Spider-Man No More!” from Amazing Spider-Man #50. Struggling with the pressure of maintaining his personal relationships, Aunt May’s ongoing health conditions, and falling grades at Empire State University, Peter decides it’s finally time to quit and throws his Spider-Man costume in the garbage.
2020 EDIT PROCESS
I started with the basic changes I always do, by adjusting the exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, HSL, and etc. Throughout this project of re-editing my older photos, I do not refer to the original edited the photo so I can see if I would make the same steps or make alternative decisions.
After I’ve done the basic steps, the main thing I wanted to do was illuminate the mask on the ground and remove the orange light. Also the shadow on people in the background I wanted to be removed.
Around the mask on the ground, I created a Radial Filter over the mask and change the temperature of the area as well as added a bit of brightness as well.
Next step was to move the image into Photoshop and using the Clone Stamp of the nearby area to slowly remove the shadowy figures in the background.
COMPARING THE TWO PHOTOS
Viewing the two photos side by side, there isn’t much of a huge difference I made compared to the 2017 nor did I make lots of steps or changes to the updated 2021 photo.
Now seeing the photo, I now see that there is a cable which could look like it’s coming out of his head. It’s things like this which I need to be aware of in future photo editing.
Should you want to have a look at the side by side look between the two photos, here is a slider which you can view them.
