This message released on 8th Jan on their social media pages regarding plans to host a physical event in 2021. Here is what they had to say.
Our main goal has always been to create a safe and accepting space for the community of passionate and creative fans who inspire us every day. With this in mind we will be focusing on MCM London on 22-24 October and MCM Birmingham on 13-14 November, 2021, pending improvement in the global health and safety situation. Tickets for these shows will be available online prior to each event, and additional information regarding the show format and safety measures that will be put in place will be announced in the coming months.
This unfortunately means we currently don’t have plans to run events in Birmingham (March), London (May), Manchester and Scotland in 2021.
We want to know if you think Reedpop who run MCM Comic Con, did the right thing to release this statement? Should this be delayed until more of the vaccine or more about the virus is known. Is a bit of hope and something to look forward to regardless of the outcome, a good thing? With this news, are you already planning everything now and you are going?
Looking forward to your comments and the reason why.
