Rarely do I come across cosplayers that quite literally make me pull my jaw off the floor. There are good cosplayers, amazing ones and then there is Egg Sisters Cosplay whose work is just jaw droppingly stunning. If you haven’t had the chance to check them out then you should! You will not regret it!

Location: Chicago, USA
What is your favorite food? Mochi, vegan pizza and craft beer.
As you guys come as a cosplay pair, does one of you each specialize in specific techniques or do you both do everything?
We bounce around and dabble in everything each project. On our current costume Courtney was master electrician and Dana focused on sculpting. But we both add our touches to every piece.
You guys do a lot of casting and sculpting, how did you get into it?
Our friend went to school for it and showed us the basics. From there we just ask a lot of questions, trial and error, and internet hard.

When it comes to costumes like Garuda, how do you start breaking down the costume?
Lot’s of templates! For Garuda we had to build the wings and stilts first to see if they could successfully be worn together and moved on from there. It helps to draw out ideas to get a feel for different pieces and how they are actually made.
All your costumes are quite complicated, on average how long does it take you to make each costume and which has been the most complicated one for you?
Garuda remains the most complicated so far. All of them have taken around 3 months or so.
What has been the most tricky technique you have had to master so far?
Mastered? None, haha! Every costume we try something new. Garuda’s wings and corset were rebuilt a few times until we got it right… On the Nebula costume we made a latex chest piece and that was quite the learning process as well. On our current costume we tackled LEDs and smoke. Lots of trial and error!
What would be the ultimate costume that you guys would like to make?
Probably a full monster suit of some sort!
